Sometimes I feel bad that my PhD has taken me almost 4 years so far, but at least it hasen’t taken me 36 years like Brian May. It’s due September 15th, so right now my life consists of working 9 to 5, coming home and then working on my PhD. Not a lot of fun but I think I can just about survive the next month and a half of living like this. Last night dinner consisted of two potato waffles with a slice of cheese, a microwaveable sponge pudding and a bag of sugarry pineapple things (hope my mum isn’t reading this).
Got myself a Sigma EF-500 DG ST which will be essential for the wedding photos I’m doing at the end of the month. Will have to learn how to use it to take beautiful photos and not just blind people.
Anyway if you want to read something intelligent check out my friend Peter’s blog.

Stick in there Rowan.
I know you can put up with it for the next month and a half. Just think of the relief you’re going to feel. Think of how proud you will be of your achievement.
And then tell me how to do the same thing!

I almost believe that… I also know that you’ve always been more motivated than me, stick in there too! One day we’ll all look back and laugh…
