Spent last weekend with some amazing friends in one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. We stayed in a very nice caravan at Downies, and went swimming in the sea, canoeing, hiking. Evenings were spent sitting around campfires on the rocks. Times like that are gifts from God.

  1. I stayed in Downings quite a few times when I was younger (my grandparents on my mum’s side are from Donegal). I don’t remember much, but I do remember the rain. Lots of rain.

Definitely a very scenic area though.

  2. I see your lovely snow has melted away. it’s safe to presume, I suppose, that your weather is warm enough to enjoy such an activity as swimming in the ocean. In my part of the world, we’re having the coldest April that my grandmother can remember. There was even a frost the night before Easter! And they say the world is getting warmer!!! :-)

  3. It’s just about warm enough tho the sea was so cold in Donegal that your legs (and bits) went numb after about 30 seconds. We’re having a glorious spring here!
