Who would have thought all that stuff they tell you about good desk posture and taking regular breaks was good advice? I’ve stopped slouching on my left arm as I use the mouse, and started taking regular breaks (enforced by Workrave which I thoroughly recommend), and my RSI has got significantly better. Now I don’t get searing random pains in my arm at night time… which is nice.

Yesterday I got my first car. I’m still a bit nervous at the prospect of driving around Belfast at rush hour as I haven’t driven in a few years, but it feels so good to have the independence. If I didn’t have a job I’d probably just go driving around the country taking photos. I could do with a holiday like that, but two weeks into a new job isn’t the best time ask your boss for a holiday!

I can’t stop listening to Wheels by DJ Yoda…

  1. Glad to hear RSI is getting better.

What kind of car did you get? As for rush hour traffic in Belfast, it can’t be much worse than DC rush hour and I’ve managed to survive for three years with only one accident (and I got rearended, so it wasn’t even my fault!) You’ll be fine! :)

    How’s the job going?

  2. great video, like the square wheels!

  3. Hey Megan. It’s a Citroen Saxo..I doubt you get many of them in the US (they are very fuel efficient ;) )

Job is fine apart form the RSI which is a constant worry.
